🍹 Bahama Breeze's New Blissful Booze Flight
“When people go out to eat, they’re looking for good energy to accompany their good food,” says Chris Bass, General Manager of Bahama Breeze off International Drive, “With our island-vibes, fun drinks, and live music, ‘good energy’ is what we’re about.”
The Hurricane is a sunny cocktail loved by many Bahama Breeze visitors, so the restaurant is now offering it in three ways. Each libation can be ordered as a full cocktail, but they’re also available in flight form for those looking to try a sip of each. From left-to-right, the three new cocktails could be ranked as Category 1, Category 3, and a Category 5. They get stronger as you sip up the tray, providing that fun factor to your dining experience!
Hurricane Pours 🍹
Island Breeze (Blue): I would consider this cocktail a Category 1 drink, holding sweetness from Malibu Coconut Rum, Cruzan Passionfruit Rum, Blue Curacao & pineapple juice.
Tropical Storm (Orange): I would label this drink as a Category 3. It’s their take on the classic hurricane with Bacardi Superior & Bacardi Black rums, passion fruit, orange and lime juices. However, the taste of amaretto is very prominent, giving it a heavier kick.
Bahama Blast (Yellow): This would be the Category 5 of the flight, mixed with Bacardi 8, Captain Morgan, pineapple, orange and passion fruit juices & topped with Cruzan Hurricane Proof Rum. This drink is also garnished with a little island lizard, so you’ll have a buddy to enjoy the good times with!
Bahama Breeze’s tropical drinks pair extremely well with their dishes. The cuisine generally holds Caribbean and island flavors with an American twist.
Goat Cheese Pepper Dip 🧀
This menu item initially had the peppers plated separately from the goat cheese in the middle, but Chef Peter noticed that guests would ignore the peppers. It’s now plated with the peppers placed on the cheese, allowing both flavors to amalgamate nicely.
Ropa Vieja Tostones 🍛
This dish features braised beef encased in Tostones cups, atop a bed of yellow rice and black beans. The meat is tender and amplified with the flavor of the Cilantro Crema sauce, delivering that authentic island taste.
Buttermilk Chicken Jibaritos 🍗
This dish showcases classic sliders with a Caribbean twist. It's prepared with Tostones with buttermilk fried chicken inside. The Sriracha aioli adds a different flare to the sliders; similar to Mayo-Ketchup with a kick.
Coconut Grande 🥥
This aesthetic dessert will satisfy any coconut lover. This dish features coconut-pineapple ice cream atop warm coconut cake to serve us that warm-cold, decadent taste. It’s topped with fresh pineapple and toasted coconut, all inside a coconut!
“It’s like two different restaurants with two different vibes,” mentions Chris, “we have exciting outdoor seating with live music, or we offer a more fine dining experience with the indoor seating. We just want everyone to have a good time!”
