π Creativity & Cozy Conversations at Mediterranean Street Food
βIβm an artistic guy, and this place is an extension of my creativity,β says Julio, Owner of Mediterranean Street Food, βwe want the flavor in our foods to speak for itself.β
This locally-owned business was previously known as Shishco Mezze & Grill, but has flourished into this colorful, word-of-mouth eatery with vibrant aesthetics and Mediterranean bites. This eatery offers a relaxed vibe thatβs harbored by outdoor, communal seating and eye-catching murals. The window eatery is charming in size, serving as the focal point of the shopping plaza.
With Mediterranean cuisine currently trending in Orlando, Mediterranean Street Food offers traditional Turkish foods with twist. The menu items are made fresh daily, so take a peak at our eats!
π― Sigara BΓΆreΔi
These Turkish Egg rolls are composed of melted feta and mozzarella, which have a slightly buttery texture. The cheese is jazzed up by Turkish spices that focus on flavor rather than heat. The phyllo dough exterior is drenched in their Tahini sauce, which holds a hint of tartness.
π Baba Ganoush
Julio interprets Baba Ganoush as a Mediterranean salsa, offering a heartier texture than a typical paste. You can see every ingredient swimming in the smoked eggplant base, which assures freshness and a more substantial bite.
π₯ Lamb Chops
This is a heavier menu item, offering lamb chops upon a bed of handmade tannour bread. The lamb chops where crisped to perfection, and held that satisfying salty, street-food taste. The bread bowl is served alongside rice pilaf and vegetables, which add moisture to the dish. The tzatziki sauce provided a tart creaminess between salty bites.
π Kofte Burger
This menu item features ground beef mixed in a medley of Turkish herbs and spices, providing strong aromatics in between the Kaiser roll buns. The Tzatziki lifted the taste by adding tartness for complexity, alongside lettuce and tomato for freshness.
This spot is perfect for lunch breaks or chill-vibe date nights; especially if you try catching the sunset for dinner. Additionally, itβs a great spot for disconnecting from technology and inviting cozy conversations with others. The friendly vibe is pronounced by the genuine team and Living Towers that grow fresh produce.
βI put my heart and soul in here because everyone is so nice,β mentions Julio, βI just like creating new things and seeing the world through other peoplesβ eyes.β
