🍂 Portland's Instagrammable Foodie Spots

If coffee shop vibes and waterfall hikes ruffle your truffles, Portland is the optimal spot for a weekend trip! This Oregon city is home to local eateries with high food integrity; a lot of restaurants and shops tailor their menu based on in-season ingredients and scratch-made components. Portland’s value in freshness and creativity truly defines its food scene.

We didn’t visit high-end restaurants during my Portland getaway; instead, we broke bread at smaller mom-and-pop shops and food halls to get a true Portland experience. Visiting day-to-day eateries instead of fine dining spots isn’t only easy on your wallet, but captures an authentic, local experience. Take a peek at our eats!

☕ Soro Soro

This adorable café features cute latté art, alongside lightly sweetened pastries with fluffy, airy cream. The interior is white and bright, accented by detailed decor that includes kitten figurines and tiny flower vases!

đŸ© Blue Star Donuts

This doughnut spot is a staple in the Portland community; arguably better than Voodoo Donuts. With flavors like Blueberry Bourbon Basil or Lemon Poppy Buttermilk Old-Fashioned, this shop offers fun twists of flavor to a familiar dessert.

🍝 Grassa

If you’re browsing through local shops off 23rd, swing by Grassa for hand-crafted pasta. Though each dish may require more time for preparation, the wait is worth it; this place serves the best pasta in town!

🍰 La RosĂ© PĂątisserie

This Beaverton pĂątisserie has cute, tiny seating while serving aesthetic desserts; the perfect spot to grab a coffee and pastry to start the day. Their rainbow crĂȘpe cake is beautifully airy and subtle.

🧀 Cheese & Crack

Not quite a meal, but more than a snack; this little shop serves what I consider industrial charcuterie boards. Their Beecher’s menu item features flagship cheddar and a brie brĂ»lĂ©e!

đŸč Tea Bar

Though the boba isn’t out-of-this-world, the juice mixtures and teas taste fresh with organic ingredients, focusing on simplicity. This minimal, aesthetic tea shop proves that sometimes less is more!

đŸ„ž Mother’s Bistro

This restaurant delivers a sunshiny ambiance, making it an optimal brunch spot. Pancake toppings are limited to fruits and nuts that are in-season, ensuring quality components. Pinkies up!

The hipster vibes are strong in Portland, especially with laid back eateries and aesthetically-pleasing food. However, don’t fret as the food tastes as good as it looks. Instagram traps aren’t a huge problem here, where you’ll leave each restaurant extremely satisfied. Whether it’s a light snack on your way to downtown, or a huge meal for a special dinner, you’ll be able to find a Portland food spot that fits any occasion or budget!
