Originally starting out as a food truck, Purple Ocean built their first storefront in Waterford, offering locals a beach-themed ambiance with lush greenery, rattan decor, and boho colors. Though the brand is known for their signature açaí bowls, the new brick & mortar offers a vegan burger menu to introduce hot foods into their sunshiny atmosphere.
The tropical concept extends to their food, with menu items named after beaches in Puerto Rico. Take a sight of our bites!
🍓 Flamenco
This signature bowl features açaí topped with a coconut oil shell that emphasizes the refreshing tartness of the bowl through a sweet crumble. Agave, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries provide additional tartness, where the granola, coconut flakes, and hemp seeds provide a crunch of texture.
🍔 Domes Burger
This vegetarian burger utilizes a brioche bun and an Impossible patty, topped with melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onions. The Puerto Rican flair is conveyed through layers of tostones and maduros that provide a subtly sweet flavor, emphasized by the salty taste of the rosada sauce.
🧄 Selva Burger
This plant-based burger is composed of a roasted garlic quinoa patty, topped with melted American cheese, arugula, tomato, and sautéed onions. Slices of avocado bring a hearty creaminess, while the brioche bun offers a fluffy texture.
🥝 Survivor
This bowl serves a medley of fruit, including bananas, strawberries, pineapples, kiwis, mangoes, and blueberries atop a bed of sweet açaí. Granola, coconut flakes, and chia seeds provide a slight crunch to each bite, while the coconut oil and agave amplifies the sweetness of the bowl.
