🍱 Nibbling Ninja Noms at Sus Hi Eatstation
“We have a variety of options for any particular diet or food preference,” clarifies Thomas Wang, Managing Partner of Sus Hi Eatstation, “You have the freedom of choice to get creative with your meal.” Sus Hi Eatstation is a homegrown, ninja-themed restaurant with “Chipotle-style” service and an open-kitchen concept. The brand started in 2011 as a hole-in-the-wall sushi joint, but expanded in the Orlando area through focusing on the customization of food bowls. They currently have 6 locations, with several others under construction or in negotiation.
Each Sus Hi location strives to harbor a fun atmosphere with an energetic team that greets you as “ninja!” The decor and feng shui is unique in each location, fitting the vibes of the local area; each store provides differing designs instead of gravitating toward a cookie-cutter mold.
Sus Hi serves sushi in a non-traditional way, as it’s open to customization and personal preferences. Check out some of our ninja noms:
🍤 Nibble Noms
Appetizer bites include their trademarked rice fries, which are panko’ed rice sicks topped with bacon bits, cheese, and jalepeño. The crab rangoons are golden and crispy, alongside the spicy cauliflower, which is a flavorful vegetarian option. The array of sauces include spicy mayo, sweey soy sauce, and white sauce. The Triple X sauce is an amalgamation of all the sauces and sriracha.
🍣 Sushi Roll
This customized roll isn’t traditional by any means, featuring deep-fried sushi. The the raw tuna keeps it’s sashimi-like texture through the tempura process, accompanied by krab and avocado. The Spicy krab topping adds a heartier element to the roll, leaving diners satiated.
🍲 Party Ninja Bowl
This bowl is perfect for those who don’t prefer raw fish. It features chicken tempura alongside a medley of avocado, spicy krab, tempura flakes and wonton noodles atop a bed of white rice. The drizzle of spicy mayo, white sauce, and sweet soy sauce add a savory-sweet taste.
🌯 Sushi Burrito
Some things taste great in burrito-form despite the traditional-style of sushi, making this menu item a guilty pleasure. The salmon maintains its smooth texture among the warm rice and avocado. The fried breading provides a satisfying crunch, emphasizing the gooey-ness of the avocado and fish.
Your average sushi restaurant may feel a bit elevated, but this eatery offers a fast-casual setting for sushi and bowls; a better quick-service option than refrigerated packs of rolls bought at a supermarket. The colorful ambience is accompanied by affordable menu options. This is an optimal spot for lunch with a group of friends, as there’s food options for anyone with dietary restrictions. Fried or raw, they have it all!
