🥂 Toast to Tapa Toro's Tasty Brunch Bites

“Color, vibrancy, and fun,” exclaims Richelle Clark, Manager at Tapa Toro, “this is a place where you can indulge in culture and let your free spirit go.” Richelle has been with Tapa Toro since it opened several years ago.

This I-Drive concept restaurant strives to encapsulate the excitement of Spain, showcasing imported artwork and Flamenco dances. Its modern vibe is further conveyed with moving paintings on the wall and colorful tiling that’s reminiscent of Barcelona. As night approaches, the dim lighting offers a more sensual vibe. To bring the energy up, Tapa Toro features live DJ’s on weekend nights for a lively dining experience.

This restaurant can take a single ingredient and incorporate it into a variety of dishes. Peep some of our brunch bites!

🧀 Charcuterie

This platter featured a mixture of 2 meats, and 2 cheeses. Their is specialty is Jamón ibérico, which is imported directly from Spain, and cut fresh-to-order. We tried their imported Spanish blue cheese, alongside spiced pumpkin seeds and crackers made in-house. These all went well with their seasonal jam, which offered a sweet, Autumn flavor.

🍳 Pork Belly Benedict

Pork belly is my weakness, and this dish delivered. The pork belly is seared, braised in the oven, then deep fried to order. Instead of a typical English muffin, the base of the plate is a brunch bagel, topped with cooked-down kale and eggs for that #YolkPorn. The hot honey adds a hit of sweetness, in tandem with their whipped Hollandaise sauce that holds a light texture.

🥔 Lamb Hash

This dish features fried potatoes topped with a vegetable medley of sautéed peppers and onions. I enjoyed how the salsa verde added a subtle burst of flavor that didn’t overpower the braised lamb.

🍫 Chocoate Tart

This plate was decadent, featuring poached figs cooked with red wine. The chocolate ganache holds an Autumn, holiday flavor with smoked paprika, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The buttercream pastry is also layered with with salted caramel, which offered more richness.

If you’re looking for an upbeat dining experience, visit Tapa Toro for Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., which includes flamenco dancing at at 12:30 p.m. and bottomless sangria. You can also look into the Fly & Dine deal with ICON Park, which bundles a 3-course meal and a ride on The Wheel. Another refreshing culinary experience they offer is cooking classes, which can be reserved for a party of 6 or more. You can build your own custom menu that a Tapa Toro chef will teach you to prepare; a tapa and dessert is included!

Tapa Toro offers a fine dining feel with an upbeat environment. The Spanish concept is illustrated with their attention to detail, from their large paellas to their Iberian decor. I’d recommend this spot for a date night if you’re trying to impress your partner with an exciting eatery.
