π Burger Barn Brings the Southern Love to I-Drive
Starting off as a burger spot in Jacksonville, Burger Barn opened their first stand-alone location in Orlando on May 18, 2019. Steven Decosta and his 15-year-old son, Ryan, founded the concept to bring more Southern comfort to the fast-casual scene.
burgers
Their burgers host 5 oz. patties, which is impressive compared to other fast-casual spots that serve 4 oz. They have several house-made sauces that give their burgers personality.
Bacon Queso Fries
These fries are basically crack. The cheese is gooey and delivers amazing #CheesePulls. The bacon adds some salt and grit to the texture.
Wings
The wings were decently-sized and drenched in a great selection of sauces, some of which are made in-house.
Milkshakes
The milkshakes are made with Blue Bell ice cream, making them thick. Some flavors may be a little too sweet, like the rich Chocolate milkshake. Other flavors, such as the Cotton Candy flavor, are more subtle.
Craving a burger?
Though the speed of their service is as quick as the larger fast-food burger chains, the quality of their food does not suffer. Attention to detail, such as melting cheese on patty toppings to secure them in place, make these burgers light-years better than McDonaldβs or Burger King. I definitely appreciate Burger Barn as a better quality fast-casual dining option.
