“I hope locals are down to try new things,” says Julie Gonzales of Ceviche Mix, “We add diversity to this space by providing Latin food.” Ceviche Mix is one of several Plant Street Market vendors in Winter Garden, serving fast-casual ceviche. They also have a location in Mount Dora Marketplace for locals and visitors of Northwest Central Florida.

Their ceviche is cooked in lime juice, slightly breaking down the texture of the fish while adding a strong citric taste. Though Mexico and Peru are Latin countries with distinct ceviche flavors, this shop doesn’t lean toward a specific country. Instead, they strive to be a blanket mix of Latin America flavors by providing simple, yet strong and fresh flavors. Take a sight of our bites!

🦐 Shrimp

This classic ceviche option features shrimp marinated in citric acid. It’s incorporated within a medley of red onions, tomatoes, and red bell pepper for sweet vegetable flavors.

🥑 Guacamole

The guac is made fresh, not from a package. In many instances, it’s made to order, making it a refreshing, light snack or side.

🐟 Fish

Their fish ceviche utilizes Tilapia for a lean, mild taste. The premium version features mahi mahi for a more pronounced taste and texture, accompanied by their vegetable medley.

🐙 Octopus

Ceviche mix offer s a premium upgrade, incorporating chopped octopus into your order for an extra $2.50. Some market-goers order ceviche made of solely octopus, as it’s considered more “exotic” to the local area.

For those looking for a small bite of everything, Ceviche Mix offers a sampler dish where you can try both fish and shrimp ceviche with a side of guac. This vendor offers a lighter, healthier food option as ceviche doesn’t include any starchy or gluten carbs.

“We want our ceviche to provide people a snapshot of Central America,” exclaims Julie, “it’s healthy and fresh!”
