🌶️ Ceviche Bar in Don Julio is Spicing Up East Orlando!
“We wanted a creative concept that brought something different to Mexican cuisine in Orlando,” said Florencio Rodriguez, Owner of Don Julio Mexican Kitchen, “We partnered with Chef Roberto Treviño, from the Iron Chef, to help develop the concept.”
Don Julio off Chickasaw opened their new expansion concept on July 9 to alleviate weekend wait-times, previously reaching 3 hours. The addition of the Ceviche Bar offers a more trendy vibe, with a cocktail bar right next to it. It’s a one-stop-shop for Ceviche and drink pairings; optimal for enjoyable food service.
The Ceviche dishes are elevated with attention to presentation and pronounced flavors. Check out our bites from the Ceviche Bar:
🍹 Cuban Margarita
This drink delivers a kick of spice with a prominent jalapeño taste. The Exotico Reposado Tequila is shook with pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lime, and agave syrup; served on the rocks. The sugar rim makes this cocktail perfect for those who love sweet-spicy flavors.
🐙 Pulpo A La Mexicana
This medley of seafood bites includes cooked octopus marinated in lemon juice, tossed with pickled onions, tomatoes, and avocado. The tangy lime flavor is complimented by a kick of Tajín salt. The side of avocado offers smoothness between bites, making the dish more fuller-bodied.
🐟 Ahi Tuna Ceviche
This dish is best partnered with a Pacifico beer, as it features raw tuna cubes coated in lime, alongside marinated vegetables, fresh avocado, and chopped peanuts. The side of Chicharrones provides a satisfying crunch to the dish.
🍰 Postres
The warm churros are a perfect way to end the meal, drenched in caramel and crisped to perfection. The Tres Leches is a more smoother dessert option, featuring moist cake and strawberries.
This unique concept allows visitors to experience a variety of Ceviche. The paintings on the wall bring more color to the space, providing a more exciting vibe.
“Our Hispanic community is growing, and they’re all from different countries,” clarifies Florencio, “We want to bring more diverse tastes, from Mexican flavors to Caribbean flavors.”
