🍺 Bite Into A Beer Cheese Burger at The Local
“Every week, we get closer to becoming my ultimate vision,” says Pat Semeraro, Owner of The Local Bar & Grill, “which is being that neighborhood spot everyone remembers from their hometown.“
This kitschy dive bar in College Park offers a simple menu of wings, burgers, salads, and a variety of appetizers and desserts. However, their lunch menu features several new items, including:
🍗 Quickie: Five jumbo wings and house-made Mediterranean-inspired onion rings
🥪 The Local Club: A triple-decker of fresh deli meats and melted cheese
🍳 The Late Riser: Three scrambled eggs, Applewood bacon and hash browns
Pat took ownership of the restaurant late last year and seeks to make upgrades to the menu and entertainment while keeping The Local's traditions alive. The dishes capture the essence of classic bar food that compliments your favorite cold beer. Check out some of the bites!
🍟 Loaded Tater Tots
A satisfying bar food that’s shareable with friends; these tots are loaded with melted cheese, bacon bits, and several sauces including ketchup and BBQ sauce.
🍔 Beer Cheese Burger
This burger is extremely filling, served with a crispy onion ring and bacon, dripping in their delicious beer cheese; all within pretzel buns. Their Fried Egg Burger will satisfy any #YolkPorn cravings. These hearty burgers will leave you satiated!
🍗 Wings
A bar earns it’s credibility from the wings they serve, and The Local did not disappoint. The Hot Teriyaki had a smooth kick which isn't overwhelmingly spicy. The Carribbean Jerk was a little more dry, but maintained its island flavor.
🍨 Dessert
The Truffle Lava cake was a cute treat with vanilla ice cream and Oreo crumbles that’ll satisfy any sweet tooth. The Raspberry cheese cake was warm with a soft inside, but still provided a slight crunch with the fried coating.
The Local Bar & Grills strives to be a hub for College Park locals to kick back and be themselves, including the team. The straightforward service is upbeat, where the servers hold that hustle & bustle vibe.
“Orlando locals can spot a fake smile,” clarifies Pat, “They’ll more likely appreciate someone who is genuine, and working harder than a server who is fake-smiling.”
If you’re looking for an after-work spot to grab a beer and delicious wings, The Local is a chill spot where you can sit in the outdoor patio and watch the sun go down. Hanging lights in the bar area provide a relaxing vibe; a great spot to munch on a satisfying burger and sip on a cold drink.
