🍷 Wood Fired Flavors at Vines + Forks in The Wine Barn

 

“I love the connection you get with your guest in the restaurant business” says Melina Salazar, Executive Chef of Vines + Forks by The Wine Barn, “it’s so rewarding to put food the table and watch someone’s reaction on their first bite.” Melina was a part of The Wine Barn team since 2013, and returned this past February after taking a break.

Initially a wine shop, Vines + Forks is a culmination of remodeling efforts and a new focus on food ever since they’ve adopted a wood fired oven. The ambiance has a cozy feel at night, accented with bottles of wine displayed across several walls. The elevated, rustic vibe provides a warm mood with each sip of wine. With menu items made from scratch, take a sight of our bites!

🥖 Cheese Sticks

This appetizer is a popular gluten-free option, as the cheese sticks are made utilizing tapioca flour. Mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese are melted into the bread itself, as opposed to a cheesy, stringy center. The sticks are topped with fresh basil, grown in-house.

🥟 Empanadas

These empanadas are stuffed with 100% grass fed angus beef for a savory bite. Parmigiano-reggiano and aged asiago add a nutty, cheesy flavor to the beef.

🥣 Tomato Soup

This soup is produced from San Marzano tomatoes. Because of the minerals, the tomatoes are rich in flavor without being too acidic. The soup has a smooth texture, with a savory taste.

🥓Bacon Mojito

This pizza is topped with pork belly bacon, Georgia peach, asiago, Chevre goat cheese, local mint, and a drizzle of rum balsamic glaze. With a variety of toppings, each slice hits every taste bud, from savory, tart, to sweet!

🍅 Queen Margherita

This pizza emphasizes the richness of the passata di pommodoro, made from the San Marzano tomatoes. Each slice is topped with fior di latte for a slightly sweet hint to each cheesy bite, alongside local basil, and olive oil.

🍯 Honeypeño

This pizza delivers a sweet-spicy sensation, as it utilizes sunflower honey alongside a kick of jalapeño. The flatbread is topped with pepperoni and local basil for a savory freshness.
