π Moonlight Bites With Metro Nights
"When guests come in, it feels like having family over for Thanksgiving,β says Marcos Muniz, Manager at Metro Diner Kissimmee. Though Metro Diner shines bright in its breakfast menu items, such as their glorious chicken & waffles, this south Orlando location is introducing a new Metro Nights menu, offering savory spoonfuls during dinnertime. This menu accents their new weekday siesta hours, closing at 2:30 p.m. and re-opening at 5 p.m. No fret; the restaurant is open the entire day during the weekends!
With the sun setting earlier, Orlando locals and visitors can dig their forks into new, hearty dishes underneath the stars. Hereβs a sight of our moonlight bites!
π Onion Rings
These thick-cut onion rings are beautifully crispy and satisfyingly salty. The onion maintains its moisture without compensating the crunch of the fried panko breading.
π Chicken
Seasoned grilled chicken is the focal point of this dish, topped with a grilled lemon slice for a citrus tang. The chicken is served atop seasoned dirty rice, alongside green beans.
π€ Shrimp & Grits
Their Charleston Shrimp & Grits features 2 fried grit cakes infused with cheese, roasted red peppers and Andouille sausage, topped with shrimp, sausage, onions and peppers. The shrimp sauce adds a heavy texture to the grits.
π₯© Steak
The Metro Sirloin Special features 9 oz. of seared, center-cut sirloin, alongside creamy mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meat is juicy and flavorful when ordered medium-rare. Though itβs not overly fancy or complex, itβs a diner steak that gets the job done!
If youβre feeling festive, their new Holiday Feast plate captures the flavors of a home-cooked meal. For $15, you can enjoy a 2-course special with your choice of roasted turkey or baked ham, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, savory cornbread stuffing and a slice of pumpkin pie!
