🐪 The Mexican Camel Is Spicing Up Your Summer
Organic, fresh, and inviting!
“We offer home-cooked meals in a fast setting. Everything we pickle, we do it in-house.” clarifies Sam Katbeh, Founder/Owner of The Mexican Camel. This up-and-coming café serves fresh Mediterranean-Mexican fusion cuisine. They serve healthy halal options and satisfy vegan diets. Their red sauce is spicing meals up, composed of peppers from their side garden.
We were invited to munch on Mediterranean-Mexican meals; check out what’s on the menu!
Bowls
You choose from a unique selection of bases, including lentils and lentil rice. Protein options are also fresh, such as the Lamb Kofta Kabobs or Falafel drizzled in your choice of sauce, from Chimichurri to Tomatillo Salsa Verde.
Soft Tacos
Create a mini taco flight with their soft taco menu option. The Cilantro Lime Shrimp taco was my favorite, hosting a zesty fresh taste.
Pita
Falafel pita can also be served vegan with Falafel. I love the pita option with pickled beet and a drizzle of Tahini sauce.
Garden
Everything is made in-house, including their craft juices. They’re growing a fun-sized garden to the side of the eatery, nursing various herbs currently used in their drinks. They additionally serve a selection of craft sodas by Stubborn Mule.
Their attention to sustainability is further portrayed in their use of recyclable straws. They currently serve drinks with paper straws, but Sam plans to look into sugar cane straws as a better, bio-degradable option.
“This is our single store and we plan to grow it the right way,” mentions Sam, “We truly enjoy what we do. When people leave us good reviews and let us know we’re doing a great job, it pays. That’s worth money to us; that is money to us.”
